  • A new report from the George Institute for Global Health, VicHealth and the Heart Foundation has found a single tablespoon of the average soy sauce contains 61 per cent of our recommended daily salt intake. If you use just one small soy sauce plastic fish packet on a sushi roll, you will be eating nearly ten percent of your daily salt intake. Too much salt can cause high blood pressure, which increases your risk of stroke, heart and kidney disease.

 

  • Meanwhile, a study conducted by the University of Wollongong has found that 47 per cent of Australian adults consume too much ‘free sugars’- extra sugar often added to everyday products, such as some breads and cereal, to improve the taste.

 

  • Happiness has been added to the school curriculum in Delhi. Preschoolers to primary-aged children will now receive daily lessons in happiness, including meditation, yoga mindfulness, and story-telling to, help children develop as people and have a more rounded education.
